Are you fascinated by all the parenting, pregnancy, and childbirth stuff few people talk about because they’re too embarrassed? If so, welcome to the motherload of all things taboo, wild and super interesting.
The Asking for a Pregnant Friend podcast is based off the book of the same name and dives into all the parenting, pregnancy, and birthing topics that make many people blush, or scratch their heads.
My hope is that every time you listen you’re relieved to find information about one of the questions you didn’t think other people had, feel more connected to the worldwide community of soon-to-be parents and new parents, and find peace as you become informed about the aspects of your journey most shy away from.
This is like the modern day Dear Abbey for pregnant people and new parents, or just curious people, who want to get straight, yet loving, answers to the parenting, pregnancy, and childbirth questions they’re too afraid to ask.
Many of the episodes are intentionally short so you can listen to the full shebang on the way to a prenatal appointment, or coming home from dropping the kids off at school.
New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday.
Meet Bailey
Podcast host Bailey Gaddis is a mother and author of Asking for a Pregnant Friend: 101 Answers to Questions Women Are Too Embarrassed to Ask About Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Motherhood and Feng Shui Mommy: Creating Balance and Harmony for Blissful Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Motherhood.
She is also a Certified Parenting Coach, Hypnotherapist, Certified Birthing Doula, HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, HypnoMothering® Practitioner, a founding member of the Ojai Valley Birth Collective, past IVF coordinator, and contributor for Working Mother, Fit Pregnancy, Pregnancy and Newborn, Disney’s parenting site Babble, Elephant Journal, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Woman’s Day, Good Housekeeping, Scary Mommy, Natural Solutions, Natural Mother, Your Tango, American Baby, Green Child, Huffington Post, and more.
Bailey supports families navigating cancer by volunteering her Hypnotherapy services at the cancer resource center, Ojai Cares. In addition, Bailey volunteers for the Parent Care Program at Secure Beginnings where she offers in-home support to parents of newborn babies.
She lives in Ojai, California, with her husband, son + daughter.
